What is health coaching

A Health Coach is a supportive mentor who helps clients feel their best through food and lifestyle changes and personalized, one-on-one encouragement. To live a vibrant life, we all need holistic support. A Health Coach provides guidance and accountability, from exercise and nutrition to relationships, career, and spirituality.

Vikki’s Approach

As your Health Coach, Vikki will listen and guide you as you discover what your body needs.  She will help you create a happy, healthy lifestyle that is flexible, and free of deprivation and denial. Vikki practices a holistic approach using food and herbs to fuel the body, and not focusing on counting calories, carbs, fats, and proteins.  As a graduate of Institute for Integrative Nutrition, Vikki uses the following concepts as she works with each client individually towards their desired goals.

Bio-individuality™ - The concept of bio-individuality means that no one diet works for everyone. Each and every person has their own unique needs. A diet that may work for one person may not work for another. That’s why FAD diets don’t work because they encourage the same diet for everyone. Bio-individual diets are now proven to lower the chance of obesity, heart disease, diabetes, and more.

Primary Food™ - Primary food pertains to the healthy relationships, regular physical activity, a fulfilling career and spiritual practice can fill your soul and satisfy your hunger for life, not just the food we put on our plate. When primary food is balanced and satiating, your life feeds you, making what you eat secondary. When these “primary foods” are balanced, the food you eat becomes secondary.

Crowding Out - If you’ve ever been on a diet, more than likely the first thing you were advised of was a list of foods to avoid.  Initially, this may have worked and felt ok, but over time you craved for certain foods you used to eat. Once you reached your goal or the diet ended, most likely your old eating habits gradual returned. Food deprivation is not an approach in which Vikki uses in her program. She uses the concept of “Crowding Out.”  Crowding Out is the natural process that happens when you add more of the good stuff into your daily diet.  The more healthy foods you add to your existing diet, the less room you’ll have for junk, and the more sensitive your palette will become to ultimately appreciate a greater variety of healthy ingredients. You’ll literally “crowd out” the unhealthy foods until you reach a balanced diet that is sustainable and makes you feel great.  Of course with an occasional guilt-free indulgence!

What to expect in Vikki’s Program

Vikki will guide you as you evaluate all areas of your life and how they maybe affecting  your health. Together with Vikki, you will create an individualized, step-by-step wellness plan that fits your individual needs.  You will explore the food and lifestyle choices that best support you.  Throughout your program, you will make gradual changes enabling you to reach a lifetime of natural health.  Your individual plan may include balanced nutrition, exercise, self-care, meditation, Footzoning or Mind and Body Work.

Vikki’s One-on-One Program includes

  • Two 50-minute One-on-One sessions each month for 1 or 3 months. During thse sessions we discuss your goals, progress, nutrition & lifestyle recommendations.

  • Sessions via Zoom or phone

  • Personal email/text communication and support from Vikki.

  • Nutritional handouts, recipes and other health related materials.

  • Invitation to special events: classes and seminars related to health and wellness.

  • Local clients will receive a choice of an Ionic Foot Bath or BioMat Infred Treatment.
